City & Desert Stopover

Thanks to Emirates and its popular, far-reaching flight network, Dubai makes a convenient stopover destination. In just three nights, this itinerary offers a way to experience Dubai with a twist. 


Spend town nights staying in Downtown Dubai, at the Palace Downtown. Set within walking distance of the Dubai Mall and with a prime view of the Dubai Fountains and the Burj Khalifa, it is the perfect place to base yourself when exploring the city. After exploring the bright lights, witness a different side to Dubai with an overnight stay at Amar Luxury Desert Lodge. The desert 'glamping' experience offers spacious, specially designed tented suites and delicious local cuisine, alongside endless views of the tranquil desert.

Day 01

Upon arrival in Dubai, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel, Palace Downtown. The hotel's Thai restaurant, Thiptara. As well as delicious Thai cuisine, it offers some of the best views in Downtown as it overlooks the Burj Lake, the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa. 

Day 02

Spend the day exploring Dubai. We can arrange guided walking tours that showcase the city's growth and history, or you can enjoy a day at leisure. 

Day 03

This afternoon, travel into the desert for an overnight stay at Amar Luxury Desert Lodge. Nestled deep in the endless desert, the lodge offers a Bedouin-inspired experience. Enjoy a gourmet Arabian dinner accompanied by live traditional music. 

Day 04

Begin your onward journey, travelling back to Dubai airport.

How far in advance should I book a holiday?

There is no single rule when it comes to booking your next escape, as every journey is completely bespoke. Whether you’re planning a special milestone trip years in advance or seeking a spontaneous last-minute escape, we can help shape it at any stage. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
