Victoria Falls, Selinda Reserve & Okavango Delta

Offering the ultimate in luxury safaris, this itinerary includes some of Southern Africa's most pristine wilderness areas. Experience exclusivity, luxury, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Start your trip with two nights on the banks of the Zambezi River, at Mpala Jena in the Zambezi National Park. Surrounded by lush forests and abundant wildlife, enjoy game drives, boat cruises, and the chance to explore the mighty Victoria Falls.

Next, travel across the border to Botswana, and spend three nights at Selinda Camp, in the private Selinda Reserve. At Selinda Camp, experience unparalleled luxury while exploring the tranquil wilderness teeming with elephants, lions, and wild dogs.

Finally, spend three nights at Duba Plains, a sister property to Selinda Camp, in the Okavango Delta. The delta is known for its thriving wildlife and unique landscape. Explore the waterways on boating safaris and rides in a mokoro (a traditional dugout canoe).

This itinerary promises a luxurious adventure, blending impressive camps with incredible guides and unforgettable wildlife.

Day 01

Arrive in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, after flying via Johannesburg, and travel to Mpala Jena.  The stunning lodge is set alongside the Zambezi River.

Day 02

Visit the thundering Victoria Falls. One of the 'natural wonders of the world', the falls are the largest in the world and are impressive throughout the year.

Day 03

Fly to Selinda Camp in Botswana by light aircraft.  The luxurious camp has just three suites, ensuring personal service and a tailored experience. Enjoy your first game drive though the 13,000 hectare reserve.

Day 04-05

Explore the reserve on game drives, bush walks and boating safaris.  Depending on the season, you can also enjoy tag and release fishing. As the only camp on the reserve, the area is exceptionally tranquil and wildlife sightings feel particularly special.  Enjoy sightings of leopards, lions, elephants and hippos amongst a host of other wildlife.

Day 06

Travel to your next destination, Duba Plains, by light aircraft. Set within the Okavango Delta, Duba Plains sits on a 33,000 acre private concession covered with meandering waterways, islands, floodplains and forest.

Day 07-08

Enjoy two unforgettable days exploring the delta.  The area is well known as a safari destination for a reason - enjoy unique wildlife sightings, ranging of impressive big cats to vibrant birdlife. If water levels permit, experience a mokoro ride, a traditional dug out canoe.

Day 09

After an unforgettable adventure across Zimbabwe and Botswana, travel back to Maun for your flight home.

FAQs

Why book a tailor-made holiday with a luxury travel specialist?

The best trips feel effortless, but behind every seamless journey is thoughtful planning and genuine expertise. A luxury travel specialist brings first-hand destination knowledge, trusted recommendations and personalised service to every itinerary, ensuring your holiday is shaped around you. From choosing the finest hotels and experiences to managing all the finer details, tailor-made travel allows you to make the most of your time away without the stress of organising it yourself.

What types of holidays do you specialise in?

Love To Explore specialises in thoughtfully crafted journeys designed entirely around each individual traveller. From slow, sun-drenched escapes on idyllic Indian Ocean islands to immersive, adventure-led safaris through the African wilderness, every trip is shaped by personal style and pace. While Africa and the Indian Ocean remain at the heart of what we do, our trusted network of local experts allows us to extend far beyond, opening the door to extraordinary destinations across the globe.

How far in advance should I book a holiday?

There is no single rule when it comes to booking your next escape, as every journey is completely bespoke. Whether you’re planning a special milestone trip years in advance or seeking a spontaneous last-minute escape, we can help shape it at any stage. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
