Discover Namibia’s breathtaking landscapes on this 15-day self-drive journey through its most iconic destinations. Starting in Windhoek, explore the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, the coastal charm of Swakopmund, and the ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein.

Continue to Etosha South and Onguma Game Reserve for unforgettable wildlife encounters, before ending your adventure at Okonjima Nature Reserve, home to inspiring conservation efforts.

This itinerary blends adventure, culture, and relaxation, showcasing Namibia’s stunning scenery and vibrant wildlife. With well-maintained roads and welcoming lodges, it’s the perfect way to explore this extraordinary country.

Day 01

After arriving in Windhoek and collecting your hire car, travel to The Elegant Guesthouse in the city for your first night in Namibia.  

Day 02

Start your journey through Namibia and drive to the Corona Guest Farm, set around two and a half hours from Windhoek, in Gamsberg. Keen hikers can explore the trails around Gamsberg Mountain, often called Namibia's Table Mountain. 

Day 03-04

Travelling onwards to Sossusvlei, arrive at Desert Homestead Lodge. Stay two nights and explore the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Explore the soaring, ancient dunes and spot desert wildlife. Make sure to climb 'Big Daddy', one of the tallest dunes, and visit Deadvlei, a distinctive claypan dotted with trees.  

Day 05-06

Drive towards the coastline and stay two nights at Cornerstone Guesthouse in Swakopmund. The scenic town is a blend of German and Namibian influences, with wide avenues and colonial architecture. Spend a day on a catamaran cruise, on the search for the marine big 5 while travelling to Pelican Point and Walvis Bay. 

Day 07-08

Leaving the breezy coastline behind, drive towards Twyfelfontein. Spend two nights at Camp Kipwe, a beautiful lodged perched on granite rocks, overlooking the valley. Explore the area with game drives, searching for desert-adapted elephants, and visiting the ancient Bushmen encgravings. 

Day 09-10

Travel further into northwest Namibia, arriving at Okaukuejo Rest Camp in Etosha South.  Spend two days on game drives in Etosha National Park and Etosha South, where you can see white and black rhino, lion, elephant and an array of plains game. 

Day 11-12

Continue to Onguma Game Reserve, on the eastern border of Etosha National Park.  Stay at Onguma Bush Camp and enjoy safari activities on the reserve.  Look out for rhino and big cats, including leopard, cheetah and lion.  The area is also great for bird watchers, with migratory birds drawn to the nearby wetland area, Fisher's Pan. 

Day 13-14

Continue on to your final destination, Okonjima Nature Reserve. Spend two days learning about the incredible work of AfriCAT, a sanctuary for big cats. Stay at Okonjima Plains Camp. 

Day 15

After an unforgettable trip, travelling around Namibia's iconic landscapes and national parks, travel back to Windhoek for your flight home.
