Where To Travel In 2026

5 December 2025

Looking ahead to 2026, these are the destinations to have on your travel radar. They offer far more than picturesque scenery and idyllic beaches; think a rich blend of authentic local experiences, carefully curated excursions and thoughtfully tailored accommodation.

Our shortlist brings together destinations with exciting new openings in the year ahead, much-loved favourites returning to the spotlight, and brand-new additions for Love To Explore, made possible by some fantastic local partners we’re thrilled to be working with.

Zambia

If you caught “Kingdom” on the BBC over the last few months, you will have seen the incredible wildlife on offer in Zambia. The programme was filmed over 5 years in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, following leopards, hyenas, lions and wild dogs.

With exceptional wildlife and a real sense of wilderness, Zambia offers an unforgettable safari that is often overlooked for its more well-known neighbours. Find intimate lodges and some of the best guiding in Africa, as well as those TV-worthy landscapes and wildlife sightings. Read about Ludo's visit to Zambia in 2024 here

Argentina

We have recently partnered with some local agents, who come highly recommended and have unbeatable access to authentic, curated experiences as well as years of experience planning unforgettable trips throughout Argentina.

Argentina is a vast country with contrasting landscapes and a complex history. Whether you are visiting for the first time and want to cover the country’s most popular sites, or are revisiting and in search of more off-the-beaten-track destinations, we can help. And when it comes to Argentina and South America, look out for more news from Love To Explore over the coming months.

Beyond Our Core

Cambodia

Cambodia holds its own as a standalone destination, with an abundance of ancient sites, bustling cities, idyllic coastline and a devastating recent history that serves as an educational moment for every visitor. For those looking for a longer, more complex itinerary, combining Cambodia with neighbouring Vietnam and Laos creates an in-depth tour of Indochina.

If you haven’t read about Alisha’s recent visit, please do. Cambodia is well worth visiting, and as the country continues to embrace and invest in tourism, we think it is well worth considering visiting now, before tourism numbers increase.

Beyond Our Core

Sri Lanka

We have seen a continued increase in the number of clients travelling to Sri Lanka, and with good reason. The teardrop island is a great “all-round” destination with delicious local cuisine, ancient monuments, distinct culture and diverse natural beauty. Oh, and some pretty impressive golden sand beaches.

Our local partners are outstanding at offering a truly curated journey through Sri Lanka. Thanks to tailored excursions and knowledge guides that are assisted by local experts for more specialist excursions.

Tanzania

Tanzania is always on our radar, but with the addition of the interactive Jane Goodall Centre for Hope opening in Arusha in 2026, it's the perfect time to consider visiting for anyone with a particular interest in conservation.

We would recommend considering the quieter ‘southern circuit’, which includes Ruaha National Park, or outer regions like Mahale Mountains National Park or Rubondo Island, where you will find abundant wildlife and a sense of remoteness, without some of the crowds you can find in the Serengeti during peak season.

Tanzania

Seychelles

2026 sees the launch of Aqua Lares, which is set to sail a number of routes between Tanzania and the Seychelles, including a 10-day itinerary that will reach some of the most remote Seychellois Outer Islands.

With just 15 cabins, personal service, curated dining experiences and premium facilities alongside expert guides and unparalleled access to dive sites and uninhabited islands, the Aqua Lares offers a luxury expedition cruise.

Seychelles

Australia

When it comes to bucket-list trips, Australia ranks highly for good reason. With its unique landscapes, iconic landmarks and world-class wines, you could easily spend weeks touring the country.

We’re on hand to make planning a trip to Australia less daunting. We know it can feel intimidating; there is simply so much to see across such a vast destination. Whether you need help securing sought-after tickets, arranging privately guided wine tours, or working out how to include once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as The Ghan cross-country train or sailing around the Whitsunday Islands, the possibilities are endless.

Beyond Our Core

Namibia

As “slow travel” grows in popularity, Namibia offers a fantastic opportunity for more independent and adventurous travellers. With most visitors choosing to self-drive, you can easily spend several weeks exploring the country.

From soaring dunes and desert-adapted wildlife to leading conservation programmes and remote, intimate lodges, Namibia has something for everyone, whether it’s an adventurous honeymoon or an unforgettable multi-generational trip to celebrate a landmark birthday.
