Huntington House is a charming boutique guesthouse set within the lush Satemwa Tea Estate. This historic house was originally built in the 1930s as the family home and is steeped in history. The house has five spacious rooms, each uniquely decorated with a blend of vintage and contemporary furniture. The verandas have stunning views of the tea fields, and are the ideal spot for relaxation or enjoying the estate's signature teas.
Guests can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the estate, which is surrounded by rolling hills and orderly tea bushes, and enjoy the many activities on offer, including guided tours of the tea estate, birdwatching excursions, and scenic hikes.
Dining at Huntington House is a highlight, with dishes centred around fresh, locally sourced ingredients, whether you are enjoying a hearty breakfast, a traditional Malawian meal, or an elegant afternoon tea.

Whether you’re planning a special milestone trip years in advance or seeking a spontaneous last-minute escape, we can help shape it at any stage. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
