A contemporary resort set on a picture perfect stretch of beach, LUX* Belle Mare is a fantastic all-round resort. The hotel is designed to ease guests into relaxation from their arrival with a serene atmosphere and neutral interiors with pops of refreshing colours. Facilities at the hotel include a spa and fitness centre alongside a tennis court and water sports centre, with a popular kids club. On the more unusual side, you will also find a tea house with over 88 varieties available for tastings, photography workshops and Creole lessons for those wanting to learn a few local phrases. Alternatively, relax beside the 2,000 sq metre pool, supposedly the largest on the island. Rooms at the property are contemporary in style, designed by British interior designer, Kelly Hoppen CBE. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
