With 2025 quickly approaching, now is the ideal time to start planning your travels for the year ahead. To help make your decisions effortless, we've curated a guide to the best places to travel during each season. Whether you're seeking to bask in the warmth of a tropical beach during the winter or embark on an unforgettable summer adventure, we're here to guide you to the perfect getaway.

Winter

  • Maldives
  • The best time to visit the Maldives is between December and April, and it will be hard to find a more idyllic location for winter sun. The warm and dry weather ensures water visibility is particularly clear – good news for keen snorkellers and divers.
  •
  • South Africa
  • The British winter is an excellent time to visit South Africa, whether you plan to travel along the scenic Garden Route, sample world-class wines in the Cape Winelands or spot the Big 5 in the country’s national parks and game reserves.

Spring

  • Seychelles
  • March, April & May are some of the best months to visit the Seychelles. Visitors will find warm temperatures and dry weather, and most importantly the lack of trade winds passing through ensure your ferry journeys between the picturesque islands are smooth sailing.
  •
  • Sri Lanka
  • Sri Lanka is a year-round destination, however between April and June is a particularly good time to visit the Hill Country, Cultural Triangle and east coast. Visitors can experience Sri Lanka’s ancient history, scenic tea plantations, national parks and beaches.

Summer

  • Tanzania & Kenya
  • For many, witnessing the infamous river crossings during the Great Migration is a bucket list experience. The best time to experience this is generally from the end of July, through to September. During this period, warm, dry weather draws wildlife to water sources, offering exceptional opportunities for game viewing.
  •
  • Rwanda
  • Trekking to spend time with mountain gorillas is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and Rwanda is one of the few places you can do so. Similar to neighbouring Tanzania and Kenya, Rwanda experiences dry weather between July and September, which ensures perfect trekking weather.

Autumn

  • Mauritius
  • We will always recommend autumn as a fantastic time to visit Mauritius. If you are looking to explore the island or play a few rounds of golf, the warm temperatures and low humidity make for a pleasant experience. During this time there are excellent offers to be found and hotels tend to be slightly quieter, ensuring excellent service.
  •
  • Oman
  • Oman is a beautiful country with so much to offer, from historical forts and rugged mountain landscapes to sweeping beaches. Visit in late autumn, when temperatures are starting to fall and become more comfortable whether you are looking to relax or explore.
