Sanctuary Chief’s Camp, located on Chief’s Island in the Moremi Game Reserve. Known as the "predator capital of Africa," Chief’s Camp provides fantastic opportunities to witness iconic African wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and wild dogs, as well as large herds of elephants and buffalo. The camp features 12 spacious pavilions, including a two-bedroom Geoffrey Kent Suite, designed to blend modern sophistication with the natural environment. Each pavilion is elevated on wooden decks and offers panoramic views of the surrounding floodplains. The pavilions include private plunge pools, expansive lounge areas, and en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
