Set within the delta, Tawana is an intimate camp in a private concession, allowing guests to enjoy the peacefulness of the delta while exploring its diverse wildlife.
Tawana features just eight tented suites, that are thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with an authentic safari atmosphere, featuring en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, and private verandas overlooking the floodplains. There are two family suites which can sleep up to five, as well as an accessible tent. The camp's central area includes a cosy lounge, a dining space, and a fire pit for gathering under the stars after a day of adventure. The camp has a walk-in wine cellar, while dinners are often served under the stars. The camp offers a variety of activities including game drives, walking safaris, mokoro (traditional canoe) excursions and motorboat safaris. Guests can spot iconic African wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, and antelope as well as water based animals like hippos, crocodiles, and a stunning array of bird species.

Whether you’re planning a special milestone trip years in advance or seeking a spontaneous last-minute escape, we can help shape it at any stage. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
