Tekanda Lodge offers a secluded and luxurious retreat amongst a verdant tea plantation and tropical greenery. Set about ten minutes from the coastal tour of Ahangama, the lodge enjoys 360 degree views across the surrounding landscape and you can even spot Lake Koggala in the distance. The lodge has been thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the environment. The architecture incorporates natural materials, large windows, and open spaces, allowing for breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. There are four large rooms set in the lodge and two standalone cabanas. Each lodge room is set around a courtyard, enjoying panoramic views alongside shared day rooms. The standalone cabanas are incredibly spacious and enjoy added privacy, along with private verandas with beautiful views. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
