Love To Explore Rating: Business Class

Fabjove Island is the smallest of six islands found in the Songo Songo Archipelago off the coast of Tanzania. The private island is surrounded by a beautiful sandy beach, while the island remains largely untouched and natural, studded with coconut trees and tropical vegetation. A 19th century Lighthouse perches on the coastline, now home to the hotel’s restaurant. Dining is not limited to the shaded Lighhouse terrace however; guests can picnic on a nearby sandbar, enjoy lunch on one of the island's beaches or barbeque under the stars. Each of the 18 oceanfront villas is facing, drawing on local and natural materials. Highlights include traditional Makuti roofs and doors handcrafted by artisans from Zanzibar. For those who enjoy marine life, explore the coral reef surrounding the island, which stretches for 11km, experience spectacular dive sites nearby or take a ‘marine safari’ and spot a number of dolphin species which frequently frolic in the waters around Fanjove Island. Fanjove Private Island is a beautiful location to unwind in a unique setting.

At Love To Explore we would recommend the resort for these unique selling points:

  • Private Island resort
  • Boutique hotel, with only 18 oceanfront villas
  • Exceptional marine life

“A relaxed hotel on private island surrounded by fantastic marine life”
