Ultimate East Africa Safari
Love To Explore Rating: Economy
Little Okavango Camp is set between the Serengeti National Park and the shores of Lake Victoria. Just a 10-minute drive from the Serengeti's Ndabaka Gate, the camp offers an ideal base for exploring the park's wildlife-rich Western Corridor, while enjoying a unique location amidst private waterways that are teeming with birdlife and frequented by hippos and elephants.
There are seven spacious, solar-powered tented rooms which are set on elevated wooden platforms, each featuring en-suite bathrooms and private terraces overlooking the wetlands. Guests can dine under the stars or at the camp’s restaurant, or enjoy destination dining at the Little Okavango tower, which has 360-degree views across the waterways from its three decks.
Little Okavango Camp is well located for keen birdwatchers with a variety of birdlife regularly spotted in the area, including kingfishers, weavers, hamerkops and the Usambiro barbet. Alongside game drives in the Serengeti and boat safaris through the surrounding waterways, guests can experience cultural visits to nearby fishing villages to learn about local traditions and life beside Lake Victoria.
Little Okavango Camp is operated by A Tent with a View, which is focused on providing authentic safari experiences which benefit conservation and community programmes. They support a number of projects centred around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
