Mara Expedition Camp offers an exclusive safari experience amidst the untamed beauty of the African wilderness, located on the banks of the Ntiakatek River. The camp is a sister property to Mara Plains, with the same fantastic food and excellent guiding you would expect from the luxury camp, at a smaller and simpler camp. There are just five tents at the camp, each with a private deck overlooking the river, with a hammock and chairs to allow guests to make the most of the views. Inside each tent, the interiors feature locally sourced décor inspired classic safari tents and ensuite bathrooms. With access to the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and within the border of the Masai Mara National Reserve, guests can embark on guided game drives, nature walks, and thrilling bush safaris through areas that are incredibly rich in wildlife. How far in advance should I book a holiday?
There is no single rule when it comes to booking your next escape, as every journey is completely bespoke. Whether you’re planning a special milestone trip years in advance or seeking a spontaneous last-minute escape, we can help shape it at any stage. That said, for the best choice of boutique lodges and the most sought-after properties, we recommend beginning the planning process around nine months to a year ahead, allowing the widest possible access to availability and experiences. For certain safari lodges and iconic seasonal moments, such as Japan’s cherry blossom season, we would advise planning up to two years in advance.
